0x00
I bought the corsair neutron xt 480GB a few weeks ago and now it shows a S.M.A.R.T status as disk failure imminent. I have attached the screenshot of corsair toolbox. Does that mean I should RMA it? Can I identify what is wrong with the ssd from the other readings? Its been working fine so far and I am currently using it as I am typing this post. The setup is: Corsair neutron XT 480 GB - Linux with luks and lvm encryption Corsair neutron XT 960 GB - Windows 7 System is dual booted with 480GB as primary uefi boot disk. The 960GB seems ok but I keep getting warnings about the 480GB failing.
Toasted
Put in a support ticket and see if you need to return the drive. It could just only be a software bug that is mentioning the status as failed. i doubt the drive is bad though if everything is functioning normally. Just remember to regularly backup your data in case something does go wrong.
