corsair Hydro Series - H60 (2015)

Bonjour,

Question :

It seems likely that unit is no longer able to move to fluid through the loop, either from blockage or mechanical failure. 5 years is the general warranty period for most coolers, but also are affected by country specific regulations. I can't tell you what those might be for your location. Your best course of action is to contact Corsair Support through the Support Ticket System and submit the information. What you wrote above is should be sufficient and it seems clear. That immediate 45-50-55-60...75-80C climb at boot is a clear indicator the coolant is not flowing. The only thin you can check is to make sure the header supplying power to the H60 is set to 100% or disabled. That can be reset on a BIOS flash without deliberately changing it. The support agent is likely to ask that as well, so good to verify ahead of time.

The H60 (2018) will fit all existing sockets that the older model did, unless perhaps you are on something like 1366x. You might need an adapter for that socket.

Merci beaucoup

In the BIOS you set cpu fan control (or wherever it is connected) to “disabled“. This locks it at 12v or 100%. Some brands use more casual language like “full speed”, but I don’t know if the French localization is the same.

Pouvez-vous m'aiguiller s'il vous plaît ?

Merci beaucoup

Photo No 2 and 3 show the controls. You also could accomplish the maximum speed by dragging all the control points to 100%.

However... there should be a speed for the pump (4000-4400 rpm) and another for the fan. I only see one speed reported and I will guess that is the fan on CPU_Fan. This suggests the BIOS does not see the H60 pump at all or is reporting a zero speed. Both of those are bad, but expected given the physical state you have described. Verify where the pump is connected (OPT?).

If the pump is not on CPU Fan and the BIOS is not reporting it (either missing or 0 rpm), that is something else to include in Support Ticket for Corsair. It is clear sign the device has had some type of electrical-mechanical failure.

Voir photo : https://www.igweb.fr/Capture.JPG

Merci ;)

Probably, but the purpose of the 100% fan setting is to make sure the pump gets the 12 volts it needs (maximum voltage). If you put it on a header in DC mode at 400 rpm, that likely isn't enough to start the pump. However, that then means the pump was on CPU_FAN and that was the 2000 rpm in the photos? It should be at 4000 rpm. Pumps typically don't "run slow". It's either at the correct speed or its off/broken.

However, there is another possibility and that is your motherboard cannot read the pump correctly. That 2000 rpm is exactly half the expected value and "2" is a common divider for pumps to turn revolutions into a number we recognize as RPM. If you can feel the pump vibrating, it is running. That immediately 50-60-70-80-90-100C CPU temp rise only happens when there is zero flow -- off or broken. It would be good to figure out where the pump is connected and set the BIOS properly, but you should continue with the support ticket and it is likely this unit has reached its end.

Bonjour,

OK, it has definitely stopped working. I understand on the replacement. I can't really go 2 weeks waiting for one either. Good luck.

The H60 (2018) will work a little differently for power. It will use a SATA connection from the PSU for power and not the motherboard. You will be able to connect it to a PSU cables with HDD/SSDs. That will guarantee the pump runs at 100% all the time. The fan will connect to the motherboard and can be adjusted for speed.

No, it should not move around that much. Since the H60 2018 is SATA powered, the pump is running or you couldn't boot the PC. Most likely this means you do not have good contact between the CPU and the cold plate on the cooler.

Even though the product name is the same, it is not exactly a repeat of the older version. Make sure you use the new mounting hardware, including bracket and standoffs screws/posts.
