M0K0M0V Posted November 28, 2020 Share Posted November 28, 2020 (edited) Hi :) I just ordered the AMD 3970x CPU, going from my simple and old i7 930, I expect some dramatic improvements :) I planned to go with the Hydro H115i RGB PLATINUM 280: https://www.corsair.com/eu/en/Categories/Products/Liquid-Cooling/Dual-Radiator-Liquid-Coolers/Hydro-Series%E2%84%A2-RGB-Platinum/p/CW-9060038-WW It should be fine or? I might OC just a little bit, if can I figure out how to do it. I have ordered the 750D case, do I need any extra fans or will the Hydro be enough by it self? Make sure that the cooler is set to intake (even if installed on top). OC is simple ... enable PBO, done. It'll adjust based on your available cooling. I notice for the case: https://www.corsair.com/eu/en/Categories/Products/Cases/Obsidian-Series%E2%84%A2-750D-Full-Tower-ATX-Case/p/CC-9011035-WW#tab-tech-specs that for "Radiator Compatibility", both 280mm and 360mm is there, though for Compatible Corsair Liquid Coolers, the H115i is not there, is that a mistake or can I not use it in this case?
