Foggars
Hi Forum members, I have just purchased 2 x 8gb 1600 DDR3 RAM modules to upgrade Mac late 2013. I am getting a data integrity warning on startup. It is the 3 beep and 5 second repeat warning. On troubleshooting guides it says I should re insert and try different combinations in the 4 slots. I have 2 x 4gb modules from the original set up. On all combinations the same warning is occurring. The Corsair MAC MEMORY DDR3 1600 8gb module should be compatible with Mac late 2013. Could anybody please advise if I have purchased the right module as the Mac information says this should be correct. Many Thanks Foggars
Corsair Employee Corsair CJ Posted September 2, 2020 Corsair Employee Share Posted September 2, 2020 Does this occur with the original 2x4GB kit your mac came with? If so, there may be something up with your Mac (you can try resetting SMC, PRAM/NVRAM, however I cannot guarantee that resetting any of those will work).
