peterkelly
I just finished cleaning my K70 and after signing into windows, no key inputs were recognized. The volume wheel and mute button are still working normally, but the space bar now works as a right click and the "f" key also has some function I don't recognize, but no letters can be typed. The lighting and brightness profiles still work, but the keyboard doesn't work in the BIOS. Also, I tried plugging it in to my laptop and after realizing it also didn't work with it, I unplugged it and my laptop's keyboard stopped working in the same manner described above until I restarted. Other keyboards work with my PC but will stop working if I plug in my K70. Anyone have any idea if this is possible to fix?
Proffo
If it worked OK before you cleaned it, it might be the cleaning process that has caused the problem. How did you clean it ?
peterkelly
I took off the key caps, sprayed the board with compressed air, and cleaned the keys with soap and water. I was pretty careful to make sure they were dry.
Proffo
I've read that compressed air can cause damage due to static electricity.
