So i got the idea to connect the pump with a 4 pin PWM to the mainboard. Is it possible? Does anyone know the allocation of the 20 pin cable? Maybe someone can help me. c-attack Posted December 3, 2020 Share Posted December 3, 2020 No, you should not attempt to hot wire the proprietary 20 pin adapter to a 4 pin MB header. There is a lot more in there besides 12v power. Regardless, the minimum pump speed on these units is not some random number. There is a specific pump speed where the performance is going to dramatically decline and the fluid stays in the block for too long. 2000 rpm is the low end for that model. If the pump is too loud, you'll need to assess whether it is a natural electro-mechanical sound or there is an issue.
