CMK16GX4M2B3200C14R with Asus B350-Plus and Ryzen 1600

Hi there,

I have bought Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3200MHz C14 Memory Kit - Red (CMK16GX4M2B3200C14R) with combination in title of topic.

With current BIOS and AGESA versions, can you advise me how to setup timings, latency, etc... to achieve max 3200 MHz?

All advises are welcome

Thank you in advance.

You should look for threads that answer the question before asking it again and specify the actual BIOS version as "current BIOS" is next to useless

See http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?t=167361

Thank you for answer and reference link.

I actually look at that link before I posted my own.

Reason I asked is because is I have different CL and higher frequency.

I see that I maybe was wrong posting at all, because of your reaction and your response in other post, but I understand.

Thank's again

Yes, the values will in general be higher the higher the frequency.

You should start with the values your DIMMs report for the frequency you wish to use.

You should also ensure you have the very latest BIOS as the DIMM speed support may well be improved and specify the actual version number.

It would also be easier/possible to help if you posted the actual SPD information.

Thank you very much for response :)

Your knowledge and software you developed is great, so I will post again when I do tests and try to apply right values after I run your software.

I will inform you on progress next week, when I return from business trip.

Thank you again for your time and patience :)

  • 2 weeks later...

Start with the profile that comes with the sticks, ensure the latest BIOS is installed.

Feel heroic see if there beta updates but that is risky so you know.

OC your CPU with that, Ryzen and RAM is tied together i managed to do better when OCíng both only to find out the RAM and mobo do not work so well have to wait for an update myself.

Thx for recommendation.

I owe @red-ray response from previous week, because I am back from trip.

I have got 3200 instantly on turning D.O.C.P on Asus board. Wrong timings, but I have added ones from specs and it booted with 3200 frequency in Windows. So that was not issue at all, but it was unstable. I found out that 2933 is stable one for now. Maybe it has to do with CPU OC, but I will look in deeper if you are interested in to read my findings.

So regarding compatibility this memory with Asus B350 Prime 0609 BIOS version - 3200 it's working, but unstable.
