Wired
What timings / voltage do you have the memory set to?
DerekT
That motherboard has no options for DRAM voltage. Your DRAM needs voltage of 2.1 to run with 4-4-4-12 and very likely needs 1.9 - 2.0v for even 5-5-5-12 so I don't think that DRAM will work with that board. I would use vanilla DRAM with that board. Corsair Value Select. From the ASUS website QVL (Qualified Vendor List / DRAM) http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?SLanguage=en-us&model=M2V-MX%20SE Shows only 533 and 667 based Vanilla DRAM for this board. Corsair's Memory Configurator is in error it would seem. Messaged RAM GUY.
fatalheadache
Did you manually set the ram in the BIOS? Or is it at auto also since you say it works some times download this http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php take a screen shot like the one I put below. OggoR
ok here is the Cpu-z screen. tho i have my 512mb in. do i need to have the dominators in? and it auto set in the bios
Wired
Since the question is about your Corsair 2GB pack, yes, they would need to be in your system when running CPU-Z to get their info.
OggoR
ok well i just got my comp up with them in. took 3 hours... :[pouts: but here is the new screen with them in.
DerekT
As I said, you can not set Vdimm on that board. That DRAM needs more Vdimm (DRAM Voltage) than you can supply to it with that board.
OggoR
ok i got the ram to work on this board. during the 3 hours i tried to get the comp to work with it. i tried goofing around in the bios. :D: here is what i tried. Advanced -> Chipset -> Mem. Config changed mem clock mode to "limited" and the mem clock value to "667Mhz" seems to work. but then again it also might just be a temp fix.
