Hi, I'm building my new pc with the corsair obsidian 500d rgb case and asus rog strix rtx 2080 super and I wanna get the hydro x for watercool both the cpu and gpu. The corsair configurator suggest me to buy one back 120mm radiator, one top 240mm radiator and a front 120mm radiator, but I was planning to get one 240mm top radiator and one 360mm front radiator. Why the configurator doesn't show me this options? The gpu is too long? Doing the configuration with a different gpu like the msi rtx 2080 super ventus show me the options I want. Can a vertical gpu mount solve the problem?

Any suggestions? What shoud I buy? I upload the pictures of the configurations for reference.

For my case, I have the Phanteks Evolv X, which is pretty much the same size as the 500D but! I have 3x 140mm fans in the front and the Pump/Reservoir mounted on the fan, no front RAD and a card that's the same size as the 2080 and the Pump/Res mounted in the front is probably an inch away from touching the card.

But if you do the vertical mount it could clear the Pum/Res. And if you put a drain valve, there won't an issue. So it looks like you might do the config you want with that case.

Thanks for the info! Can you post a picture of your system?

I found this picture online, it'seems the 360mm radiator should fit. But he's using soft tubing so this could help and my choice was hard tubing.

Thanks for the reply. I ordered both the obsidian 500d rgb and the custom loop with a 360mm radiator and a 240mm radiator. When I'll recieve all the stuff I'll try to make the loop. If the loop won't fit I'll return the case and order a bigger one.

Any suggestion of how to mount the fans to the radiators? I'll put a 240mm top and a 360mm front.

case/radiator/fans or case/fans/radiator?

also intake or exhaust?

If I had a FRONT mounted RAD, I'd do an "intake" or I as call it "push". but ever since I've had either an AIO or this new Loop I do for the top an "exhaust" or I as call it "pull" config.

You can't really find a decent FULL tower, that's good for water cooling, if it is, then it's gonna cost way too much.
