Stickler
Any advice on the differences between CMW32GX4M4C3600C18 and CMW16GX4M2D3600C, besides the 16 (2x8GB) to 32GBs (4x8GB)? I understand that the difference is possibly quad vs dual kits? Asus B550 E-Gaming Motherboard recommends the Quad, but it only supports dual architecture? 2 x CMW16GX4M2D3600C18 are AU$100 cheaper. LeDoyen
the B550 supports dual channel, which is different from dual sticks :) the processor adresses the ram in dual channel, but you can have two sticks per channel (4 sticks). If you don't plan on doing manual memory overclock, it doesn't change anything besides the ram size. Though you may want to look up the performance differences between dual sticks and quad sticks on Zen3. There was a video from Jayztwocents or Gamers Nexus that talked of a noticeable improvement when using one over the other..
Stickler
Thanks, I will stay with the 4 sticks as I am then assured they will play together. Saw Jayz, hence the 4 sticks, plus it looks "nice"! Edited November 29, 2020 by Stickler
