johnmark
I've got some more work to do on wiring and extra hard drives mounting system. But other than that it's pretty much complete. This is the first time I've ever posted pics of my rig so be easy on me :) Comments welcome as there is always room for improvement. johnmark
When I first started the build it looked as though the Micro ATX board might fit through the CPU access panel lol I've still got to permanently mount the four extra Sata drives that are sitting in the 5.25" area. Unfortunately there are no holes on the left side of the case to mount this stack of drives so I'll need to do a mod. Also waiting for Lampton to release the FC5 fan controller/temp indicator. Then I'll have enough room to mount the drive stack in that bay area. Currently there is an 80mm fan blowing air past the drives, but again I need to build a permanent solution using a 120mm fan. And lastly I need to clean up the wiring. Currently looking for some PSU extenders(PSU side) for the SATA and accessory cables as the ones that come with the Corsair HX1000 are too short. I'm a somewhat bummed out about the cable length as I replaced a perfectly good 750W PSU with this one thinking that Corsair would surely have longer cables so the PSU would work in concert with the 800d. However they are actually shorter than on my old unit :( Hopefully Corsair will be able to help me out with with extenders or longer cables. Other than that she's working well and I like the case. As I've said before it isn't the perfect case but a darn good one for their first case.
bogbrain
How did you install the Western Digital VelociRaptor 300GB? When I tried they did not align with the hot swappable connections.

You probably have the older version. As far as i know Western Digital has released a backplane-compatible version.
