Wired
Moved from: Software Specific > General & Productivity They definitely won't work with the compaq memory, but they may work by themselves.
medaniels
There are only 2 slots on this mother board and the sticks of memory must match Basically I will be throwing out the stock memory and replacing it with the 2 512 sticks to achieve the 1 gig total I just need assurance that the memory will work
CandyKid
The VS1GBKIT533D2 (2 x VS512MB533D2) will probably work. The problem is that OEM systems can be very picky about the memory they will and will not work with which is the reason Corsair began making System Select modules (CMSS). The SS modules adhere very strictly to JEDEC guidlines and are basically as compatible with said systems as you can get. HOWEVER, as Wired said, the VS modules will probably work if you replace the memory rather than add to it. I would feel comfortable giving it a try.
