Glorious PCMR - Crystal 570X Build Log

Recommended Posts

One nice thing about the Corsair Lighting Node Pro is that it has even more control over the RGB lighting than that provided by the HD Lighting Control included with the fans and case. Since the lighting hub now goes directly to the lighting node pro, there is no need for these two components of the HD Lighting Control.

Spent a few hours trying to do something with all of the typical wires that always end up behind the motherboard. Normally not too difficult a task when the side panel is solid, but with a glass side panel it becomes a major undertaking.

Still need to groom a few cables, but the majority are in place and tied down.

glmurphy, i'm in need of your knowledge yet again, it appears my googling skills are not good enough.

I'd like to ask you what's the difference between Corsair Neutron XT vs Corsair Neutron XTi

http://www.corsair.com/en-eu/neutron-series-xt-480gb-sata-3-6gbps-ssd-cssd-n480gbxtb

http://www.corsair.com/en-eu/neutron-series-xti-480gb-sata-3-6gbps-ssd

The difference i could find was that XTi has Endurance: 320TBW

where as XT has Endurance: 124TBW

So that means that XTi should have a considerably longer lifespan, atleast on paper.

The XTi is also cheaper by 91$ compared to XT (Atleast that's the difference for me in Denmark)

It dose not make sense to me. I feel like if XT is more expensive it has to be better, but for the life of me i can not figure out in what way is it better.

I know that you got a pair of XTs in your build,so there must be a reason you picked them over the XTis.

I'd appreciate if you could enlighten me.

I'm in the middle of a very similar build right now with the same case, fans, and cooler, and I'm running into the same problem fitting the cooler in that upper front position. This is the first time I've used an AIO cooler, so I was a little concerned about trying to bend the hoses to fit there. I was just about to move the cooler lower (something I don't particularly want to do), but your pictures give me hope that it can in fact fit. Thanks!

XT is the previous generation. XTi is the newest generation. XT is more expensive because it has reached end of life and thus, lacking in stock. As all EOL products, they shoot up in price.

The case has now been to Dreamhack Austin in May and QuakeCon in August. It has received a great reception and many people enjoyed the simplicity and clean interior.

At QuakeCon 2017, a news photographer loved my build and put it an article for the Dallas Morning News.
