How to wire up 7 fans.

Hi all,

I have 7 fans all are the LL Series. Details Below:

3 x 140mm Front (INTAKE)

3x 120mm Top (EXHAUST)

1 x 140mm rear (Exhaust)

I have a commander pro and a lighting node pro as well as an RGB hub.

So you can only plug 6 fans into the RGB hub and then plug this into the LED Channel on the commander pro.

My question is, can i plug the last fan into the other LED channel on the commander pro or will i need to buy another RGB hub.

Sidenote - Also if anyone can guide me on a good place to mount the Commander pro and RGB hub in my case, i would appreciate because i am a bit clueless on this to. Currently next to the psu (Phanteks evolv x) See attached image on where i think i should place. I am very open to suggestions. :)

Right i thought that would be the case.

Also i just thought now, i wouldn't be able to get pwm control would i because the commander pro only has 6 slots. But the phanteks case has its own Fan controller so maybe i could use this?

EDIT: Just been looking through the thread that you linked. I could get a PWM fan splitter and i would need another rgb hub and then i am sorted.

Please correct me if i am wrong.

Zotty thanks for the reply, appreciate it. Few more question if you dont mind.

If i use the splitter will i still be able to control the 2 fans connected to it individually. My hunch is no and both will run the same speed. Furthermore i am having trouble on choosing splitters.

The below link is a splitter with 4 pin female but then 3pin and a 4pin male. Should they both be 4 pin. Im not sure.

The below link has 2 x 4pin males to a single female.
