crimes27
Hi All, I noticed a black (ground i assume) cable had come loose on the USB header cable from the corsair node. I have stripped back the wire a little but I cant see where it would connect to, none of the pins seem to be missing a cable and there seems to be nowhere to connect it which is strange. I don't want to re attach blindly to another cable so was interested in your thoughts. Cheers, https://1drv.ms/u/s!Ar5NMrNyebuYxWDnzy7J4uCW0NZs https://1drv.ms/u/s!Ar5NMrNyebuYxWHMncvEu5PkPj9V
LeDoyen
it is the cable shield ground. It is almost never necessary for the thing to function, but it goes on the row where the "USB" marking is (top row) http://www.frontx.com/cpx108_2.html If there's no pin stuck in the connector, maybe it wasn't connected at all, and just tucked under the heat shrink tubing. crimes27
Ok thank you for the replyI i was wondering if it might be something like that.. I figured as there were 3 red cables, all attached to a pin, it would be the same for the black cables as again there are 3, 2 smaller and one thicker.. Thanks for clearing that up ill just tape it off with electrical tape and plug back in!
