hey guys. for me a solution. i have an similar problem with MP510 (60% full)

I copied some videos until 99% full then deleted them(back to 60%) and started following (performance now good again):

Press WIN + X, Press A

paste and run this:

for ($i=1; $i -le 5; $i++) {Set-Variable -Name "imgFN" -Value (-join ((65..90) + (97..122) | Get-Random -Count 32 | % {[char]$_})); fsutil file createnew C:\$imgFN.iso (((Get-PSDrive C | Select-Object Free) -replace "[^0-9]" , '') - 1000000000); del C:\$imgFN.iso}; Optimize-Volume -DriveLetter C -ReTrim -Verbose

Interesting. I'll forward this to our product team. Thanks for sharing

Could y'all post CrystalDiskInfo screenshots as well?

What interesting is, that after some days, performance is getting worse again. I tried procedure just now again and it works again to gain performance (NVME is MP510):

attachment.php?attachmentid=39101&d=1600855750

Edit: interesting finding:

after this test, I startet with version 7.0 and got this value:

attachment.php?attachmentid=39102&d=1600856824

and back again to V6:

attachment.php?attachmentid=39103&d=1600856834

Can it be, that the test of V7 destroys somehow the behaviour of SSD?

Hello,

Gigabyte Aorus Extreme

Ryzen 7 3700X

Corsair Vengeance PRO DDR4 3600 (4 x 8 GB installed)

Bios F30

Windows Build : Windows 10 PRO build 19041.508

M2 : MP600 1GB = Drive C Bootdrive (firmware 11.3) m2a socket

M2 : MP600 1GB = Drive D filled with games (firmware 11.1) m2b socket

These are the write speeds of the disks ^^

C is only filled at 9% wich is the bootdrive,D is filled with data wich is filled for 44%

Only C has the problem with the very low writespeed, and yes after you trim the disk the speed is back at normal but the second scan gives back the bad writespeed of 1000

These were very expensive drives but 1 is not giving the writespeed as they provide on the box !! Perhapzz corsair can help me out with this !!

Any news now, I have a 500Gb MP600 filled to 81% (MSFS2020) it is down to 500 in write speed.... why sell a product as a 500Gb drive if you can't use more than half of it before it starts dropping speeds much more grave than an old mechanical harddrive? (Edit, sorry for the title, these US standards for MM/DD/YY is confusing for a european wich use DD/MM/YY.) Edited by Brat

I managed to fix the issue personally. I have a ROG STRIX X570-E motherboard

I had a 500gb sata m.2 plugged into the second m.2 slot, after removing the drive my write speeds went back to 4200MB/s

Is there a way to use both m.2 slots without gimping my Force MP600 nVME, or am I screwed?

For anybody experiencing this still. Could you post results before and after disabling fast startup within Windows? Please let me know your results in the responses.

To disable fast startup within Windows, do the following:

Hello,

My Desktop was always with the fast startup disabled and I also have my write speed limited to 1000 GB/s after 2 weeks of use.

Also to notice that the problem is similar with other softs like ATTO/AS SSD Benchmark... so the problem is really on the drive and I really think that I made a bad choice to go for Corsair if a solution can't be found rapidly.

crytal disk mark 7 is the problem. try same with version 6 and the performance stays good see post #227

Nope, I have tested both versions now, beside one another but ran them in turns, not at the same time, this is the result with the 9 times 32GiB as requested by the Corsair representable on this forum This is for the 500Gb vesion of the MP600, filled to 81%:

I built a new computer a couple of months ago and chose the Corsair Force MP600 1TB because I wanted an SSD as fast as they get. I ran some benchmarks just when I finished the build before I installed my usual software, and everything was as expected. But after a couple of weeks I ran the test over at userbenchmark.com and although it said my SSD speed was "Outstanding", it also said the performance was terrible compared to others with the same SSD. So I ran CrystalDiskmark and noticed the slow write speed, and some googling brought me here.

As you can see from the attached file my write speed is quite terrible, even my "el cheapo" WD Blue SSD gives me a higher write speed than my expensive Corsair MP600.

My system spec:

Windows 10 Pro

MSI MEG X570 Unify

AMD Ryzen 9 3900X

Palit RTX 2070 Super JetStream

Corsair RM1000i PSU

Corsair Hydro H115i RGB PRO XT AiO cooler

Corsair Force MP600 NVMe Gen4 M.2 - 1TB

WD Blue SN550 NVMe - 1TB

Seagate BarraCuda Pro 3.5" - 10TB

Is there any chance at all that this will be fixed by a firmware upgrade?

(Seeing how long this has been going on my guess is no)

I bought all my PC parts from a retailer in Norway, but I currently live in Singapore, so to RMA the MP600 in Norway is more than a bit troublesome, especially with the current Covid situation which prevents me from travelling.

Could someone from Corsair please help me with an RMA for this? And I need an advance replacement please, so I can clone my drive to a replacement drive before shipping the old one back.

This drive is a huge disappointment so if everything else fails, I'll just make a youtube video where I crush the MP600 with my replica of "Thor's hammer" while explaining exactly why I do that, and then move on to a Samsung 980 Pro.

evil:

can you try disconnecting your WD blue and checking your speeds then, i fixed the issue by disconnecting my other m.2 drive --- i have heard you can also fix this in the bios but i haven't really been able to pin down how or where at least on my mobo's bios. i'm pretty sure my sata and my nvme are sharing pcie lanes.

I've already tried that, didn't make any difference at all. I've also tried all the 3 M.2 slots on my motherboard, 2 connects to PCH, and 1 connects to the CPU. But that does not make any difference at all either.

My WD has normal speeds, and higher write speeds than my MP600 and it co-exists with my MP600 just fine. So in any case it's not a solution to remove one drive.

I would like to know how to RMA this drive please, @Corsair Kevin or @Corsair CJ or whoever else from Corsair that might be reading this. After more than a year with this issue, it seems like you're still "reviewing" what could be the cause, I would like to RMA my drive or get a refund and move on, please. It's not just a bit slower than advertised, it's many times slower than advertised.

Will I get any help there? It states that only goods bought on corsair.com can be returned through that channel and that goods bought elsewhere have to be returned through whatever retail channel it was bought through. In my case, that is a bit troublesome.

Unless you are unable to help I guess I'll just make that "Thor's Hammer" video, I'm honestly fed up with this slow drive.

Just a quick question to Corsair when i read what pc build people run its seems to be running AMD Ryzen series, so can there be a compability problem amd and corsair ssd?

But of course we are all running AMD Ryzen CPUs, it's the only CPU that supports motherboards with PCIe 4.0 so paying the premium for a PCIe 4.0 compatible NVME drive with any other CPU just makes no sense.

Back again,

I posted previously screenshots of the write/read speed of my 2 mp force 600 1TB

1 used as bootdrive wich is C:

1 used for only games wich is D :

D always had the right read/write speed, only C the bootdrive was the problem were the writespeed was around 1008 less or a little more !!

Now several days im still doing the tests and now the write speed is back to normal ?

So since I am not the only one having troubles with that Drive I will show you something - the dear support ingeneurs are saying all alright, but I think it is a bad drive - I tested also others.

Lets start with my MP 600 42% and over 50% filling

Before

122074864_3500482320013585_6278930688395951842_o.jpg?_nc_cat=101&_nc_sid=730e14&_nc_ohc=NpfKGDfNhM0AX_Ep6m4&_nc_ht=scontent-vie1-1.xx&oh=c3b9963e2647e3b8563d2071bb2c4f2b&oe=5FB338DE

After

122077212_3500482326680251_7274421382373804734_o.jpg?_nc_cat=104&_nc_sid=730e14&_nc_ohc=ux1WG410zC4AX-hhCd6&_nc_ht=scontent-vie1-1.xx&oh=14494f68f94cc9ee00db2a09ee90256e&oe=5FB3C008

Now SanDisk Extreme pro nvme gen 3x4 1TB also

filling up more than 50%

122039439_3500554913339659_3077617330923186515_o.jpg?_nc_cat=104&_nc_sid=dbeb18&_nc_ohc=cl0u1bWRT74AX-Ih4UZ&_nc_ht=scontent-vie1-1.xx&oh=684707d6d895a545aafd411c3fac818e&oe=5FB488AC

Do you feel the difference? An SSD for gen 4 pcie is worse than a SSD for gen3! And it was not so cheap 200+ Euros vs 140

that is the answere from the support to this situation>

Quote - "Thank you for performing that test for us. After reviewing your results, we wanted to let you know this is to be expected. But the drive looks fine according to benchmarks. It's going to have less write speed than rated because it's getting closer to 50% filled."

What kind of a bad joke is that?

Don't accept that answer, it is NOT "OK" for an SSD to decrease to one-third of the advertised write-speed when it's filled about 50%. I bought this drive because of the superior performance it was supposed to offer.

In my case, I got an RMA approval from the original retailer where I bought it. They were unable (read: unwilling) to offer an advance replacement, but I came to an agreement where I ordered and paid for a Samsung 980 Pro first, and then they will credit me for the Corsair Force MP600. So basically I'm exchanging the Force MP600 for a Samsung 980 Pro. I don't trust Corsair with storage solutions after this so better stick with a tried-and-true manufacturer.
