Ken429
Will the 750D handle a H115i cooler on the top of the case without conflicting with the MB and/or the 5.25 drive holders?
red-ray
Yes, but I prefer the CoolIT H110i, see http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?p=796027
Corsair Blake
Hello there! Click here for 750D build! This is when I used to run a 750D and an H105 (thicker radiator). As you can tell, there's quite a bit of room left over without touching the memory. One might even say that it'll allow for push/pull configuration! Radiator Thickness: - H115i - 26mm - H105 - 38mm
Ken429
Thanks for the information. One more 750D question - if I want to convert the 750D case to a 750D Airflow version do I need to buy the Front Facia (CC8930169) and the Airflow Kit (CC8930331)? snapper69
When I was using my 750D, I experimented by checking the temps with the front panel on and off, and, to be honest, it didn't make tthat much difference, 2 to 3 degrees, so I left it as it was. I sometimes wonder if Corsair introduced the Airflow conversion because so many people asked for it, rather than there being anything wrong with the original. If I was you, I would try the same test before you but the Airflow kit.

Did not answer my original question! I was just curious since the air flow case "looks" better. Since Ill be using an AIO cooler the air flow is probably a mute point. HOODedAssault
I would be interested to see the relative failure rate information. Please can you post the URL? Corsair would never post that information. I've been in these forums a LONG time. Their quality may have gotten better as of late but the fail rate of h100i and other coolers using that pump (water leaks, pump failure, link communication problems, air pockets) was significantly more common then asetek based coolers like h110, h105, h70 etc. You would see posts everyday of issues with that pump vs maybe 1 every couple weeks of the asetek variants. I feel you need to post links to justify some of your statements. Is it possible the situation has changed? Yes, so how do you know your opinion is correct? I have also been around a while and of late suspect I have looked at more posts than yourself. The H110i uses a different pump to the H100i. The Asetek driver causes BSODs, see http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?p=845182 + http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?p=898187 The Asetek driver fails to handle sleep/hibernate correctly and you need use Device Manager to restart the device, see http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?p=857462 + http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?p=882197 I suspect it was CL3 and CL4 should be better. [*] The h110, h105, h70 can't be controlled by link so link communication problems are impossible. [*] I see far more Asetek H100iGTX/V2 etc. pump failures than CoolIT H110i/GT, but as I don't know the relative sales volumes can't make an objective deduction. [*] The flagship Corsair One uses a CoolIT H0x50iGT cooler. In summary neither of us has the information needed to sensibly comment of relative Asetek and CoolIT failure rates. You can get wound up all you want. Prior to the last year or two coolers, CoolIT had terrible quality. Look at my rep. I have like 2nd highest rep on these forums for somebody who doesn't work for corsair. I'm not just talking out my butt. I would never recommend a CoolIT based cooler to anyone for a long time. HOODedAssault
I did say they may have gotten better recently. All I'm saying is when the coolers I mentioned were made the CoolIT pumps had tons of issues.

snapper69
As far as I'm aware you only need the Airflow Kit as it's a straight replacement for the original front panel.

Yup, the AirFlow Kit just clips in place of the original front panel. You can purchase the AirFlow kit through the link below: http://www.corsair.com/en-us/obsidian-series-750d-high-airflow-intake-kit
Ken429
Thanks for the response. You're correct. I just received the 750D case and it is obvious that all I need is the grate if I want an air flow version!
