750D and H115i

Thanks for the information.

 

One more 750D question - if I want to convert the 750D case to a 750D Airflow version do I need to buy the Front Facia (CC8930169) and the Airflow Kit (CC8930331)?

When I was using my 750D, I experimented by checking the temps with the front panel on and off, and, to be honest, it didn't make tthat much difference, 2 to 3 degrees, so I left it as it was. I sometimes wonder if Corsair introduced the Airflow conversion because so many people asked for it, rather than there being anything wrong with the original.

 

If I was you, I would try the same test before you but the Airflow kit.

Did not answer my original question! I was just curious since the air flow case "looks" better. Since Ill be using an AIO cooler the air flow is probably a mute point.

I would be interested to see the relative failure rate information. Please can you post the URL?

 

Corsair would never post that information. I've been in these forums a LONG time. Their quality may have gotten better as of late but the fail rate of h100i and other coolers using that pump (water leaks, pump failure, link communication problems, air pockets) was significantly more common then asetek based coolers like h110, h105, h70 etc. You would see posts everyday of issues with that pump vs maybe 1 every couple weeks of the asetek variants.

I feel you need to post links to justify some of your statements. Is it possible the situation has changed?

  3. The H110i uses a different pump to the H100i.

[*] The flagship Corsair One uses a CoolIT H0x50iGT cooler.

In summary neither of us has the information needed to sensibly comment of relative Asetek and CoolIT failure rates.

You can get wound up all you want. Prior to the last year or two coolers, CoolIT had terrible quality. Look at my rep. I have like 2nd highest rep on these forums for somebody who doesn't work for corsair. I'm not just talking out my butt. I would never recommend a CoolIT based cooler to anyone for a long time.

As far as I'm aware you only need the Airflow Kit as it's a straight replacement for the original front panel.
