Default Domminator DDR3 Question

I have:
6GB(3x2GB) 2048MB 1600Mhz 8-8-8-24 1.65V Ver2.1

Looking at buying another set of the same memory. My question, does it matter if the verison numbers are different?

other set:
6GB(3x2GB) 2048MB 1600Mhz 8-8-8-24 1.65V Ver3.1 or higher

Thank you

Default

Different version numbers mean the kits are built from different dram ICs, so their OC capabilities might be very different. It can also cause compatibility issues between kits, but not necessarily has to.
