JustRTX Posted November 29, 2019 Share Posted November 29, 2019 Hi everyone, so i am thinking in buying a rtx 2060 super OC , since black friday came with good deals in my country, and i have a PSU Corsair CX500w and wanted to know if it can handle my graphic card for now, ofc i am going to upgrade the rest of pc later on, and at that time i will upgrade psu aswell. Hope someone can help me out ty for you time. My specs: Motherboard h87-pro I5 - 4670 3.4 ghz gtx 960 ( to be replaced with rtx 2060 super oc ) corsair cx 500w 5 fans 16gb ram Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
PenguinJoe Posted November 29, 2019 Share Posted November 29, 2019 It should not be a problem - from what you have listed your system looks pretty light on power needs and a rtx 2060 super isn't a super power hog until you push it hard. For peace of mind I would get a Kill-A-Watt (google them - they are about $20 US @amazon) and plug your pc into that to see how much it is drawing from the wall. Take he highest wattage number you see, subtract about 15% from that and you will have your net system power usage (that 15% difference is wasted as heat).
