Default how can i use multifunctions on a single key?

Hi, im new with a gamer keyboard and i have a millions of questions.
Somedays ago, i bougth a strafe keyboard and im very impresionated over the posibilities. I am researching how to do some things and I can not help but stay stuck on some issues.

for example, I want the "num lock" key can make its own function and i want too that it can changing lighting modes. How can i do this?? I am lost, with macros? with...

Define the Num Lock key to switch profile to a NUMLOCK profile where you can set lighting showing Num Lock is active. In the NUMLOCK profile, define the Num Lock key to switch profile back to your original profile.
