Sigh.. hx1050 LOUD AS HECK

does corsair have any PSU'S in the 850 to 1050 range with a quiet fan that does not sound like a vacuum cleaner?

That PSU should be pretty quiet. I would just have it RMA'd since "loud as heck" doesn't really give us a good description of the issue. Sound is perceived differently by different people .A video or sound file would really help if you can please.

But the HX,TX and AX lines should all be pretty silent. The PSU should be fan-less at low loads /temps or a combination of the two.

Does it sound that loud at idle/load or what?

quiet until my gtx 570sli kciks in then the fan starts buzzing.

Sorry for all the questions, but is it just fan noise from high fan speeds as you describe in your original post or is there an actual buzz. I guess thats why I sugested posting a video or sound file so we could hear what you do.

But with two GTx570's it may be normal depending on the load/temp of the PSU.
