Ken429 Posted December 19, 2005 Share Posted December 19, 2005 I have an ASUS P5P800 MB with 1 Gig of another vendors value memory running in dual channel mode. I have had problems with the memory and have had to replace it recently. I think I want to change to the Corsair TWINX1024 3200C2PT memory kit and wanted an opinion of it versus value memory or... what other memory kit I should consider. Assuming it will perform better than what I have, what do I have to do to the BIOS settings or will the system boot up and run with valid defaults like it does with the value memory? Don't settle for less, trust me. :cool: As for your BIOS's settings, if you keep em at AUTO your board will boot with the XL's 2-2-2-5 settings... After reading a little it sounds like the Pentium does not gain as much from the XL timings as the AMD cpu's. I won't be overclocking (much?) and I am not a gamer.
