Default Corsair Padlock 2 8GB & Surface Pro 3

Heya.

I seem to be having trouble mounting numerous Padlock 2 drives on a number of different Surface Pro 3 devices. I have tested the following :

Windows 7 desktop USB2 + USB3 - decrypts, mounts, writes
Windows 7 laptop USB2 + USB3- decrypts, mounts, writes
Windows 8.1 laptop USB2 + USB3- decrypts, mounts, writes
Windows 10 Surface Pro USB3 - decrypts, mounts, writes
Windows 8.1 Surface Pro 3 USB3 - decrypts, does NOT mount
Windows 8.1 Surface Pro 3 docked USB2, USB3 - decrypts, does NOT mount

I can take the same device and have it work on a Windows 7 machine and not work on a Windows 8.1 Surface Pro, back to the Windows 7 machine working perfectly.

The troubleshooting steps I've been through point to there being an issue with Padlock 2 drives on a Surface Pro 3 running Windows 8.1. Can anyone else back this up? Can Corsair confirm that this is an issue?

I assume there are no firmware updates for the Padlock 2 drives as I can't find any mention of them on Corsair's site.

The Windows 10 and Windows 8.1 Surface Pro's are up to date with Windows Updates so the latest UEFI firmware has been installed.

Can anyone help?

Thanks for your time.

What does it do in Windows?
Does Windows detect the USB drive plugged in?

Drive shows up but is unreadable due to it not mounting a functioning volume. The Padlock 2 drive shows green so it thinks it's decrypted however the Surface Pro 3 seems to disagree. As stated, the other devices/OS function perfectly.
