HS70 low battery causes devices to disconnect

I had used the HS70 along with my K55, MM800 and Scimitar without any issue until after i upgraded to a new PC.

After a few weeks on the upgraded hardware my USB devices would all simultaneously disconnect and reconnect after a few seconds (This includes all corsair devices and others like my controller)

and over the last month or so i've noticed this issue happens way more frequently (almost exclusively) when my HS70's battery is low.

Any ideas on why this might be?
