Default Corsair HD120 w/MSI Mystic Light and no JCorsair header

I want to run Corsair HD120/140 fans on an MSI MEG Z390 ACE motherboard and it does not have a JCorsair1 header. It only has a JRainbow1 ARGB header.

From everything I can find, both the JCorsair1 header (present on other MSI mobos) and the JRainbow1 ARGB header are both ARGB headers with the same pinouts...

Can I plug the Corsair controller into the JRainbow1 ARGB header and have the fans be seen by MSI Mystic Light?

Nope, that's not going to work. The protocol (WS2812B) is the same. The pinouts are different.
There is an adapter available from a third party though. Or you can make one.
