The essentials are a PowerColor 9700Pro and an AMD Athlon 64 3000+ with one of the two following MBs Gigabyte GA-K8VT800 MSI K8T Neo-FIS2R My question is two-fold. Will both the ValueSelect and XMS series of 512MB DIMMS work with these boards and what speed advantage, in general terms, should I expect from the XMS series? I have Gigabyte GA-K8VT800 and CMX512-3200C2 version 1.2 and with Easy Tune the FSB is at 217 or 2174.56 MHz - occassionally not stable at 218 it seems.
