MirrorsEdge
Hello. In the place i live there are power outages about two times a week and mostly when my pc is open. Because of that i want to buy an UPS to avoid any hardware or software harm. My Specs : Msi z97a gaming 7 Motherboard Intel i7 4790k Processor Msi GTX970 Gskill Ripjaws 1600 Mhz 16GB Dual Kit Ram Samsung Evo 120GB SSD WD Caviar Black 1TB A DVD Writer Seidon 120V CPU Cooler And Corsair RM850 PSU I read that some PSU's want pure sine UPS model. Can i used simulated sine models for RM850 or do i need to buy a pure sine model? Also i have another question. I don't have a big budget and i want to know if pure sine 1000Va / 800 W UPS will be enough for my System. I think my system don't draw 850 watts and if i bought 750 Watts Psu that would be enough. Thanks for answers and sorry for my bad English. If any point you don't understand please ask
Corsair Employee jonnyguru Posted August 8, 2015 Corsair Employee Share Posted August 8, 2015 Pure sine is what you really want for a computer PSU, but it looks like your load won't be anywhere near the PSU or UPS's maximum capability, so you should be fine.
