Control Panel does not open. Sound cuts out in games. H2100

I just installed Windows 10. Did updates for my computer. Then either installed the H2100 headset according to the book or The Witcher 3, I don't know which was first exactly.

The headphones do get audio, but the control panel has never opened. When playing Witcher 3, the sound will last five minutes and then do a weird repeating noise. I have to exit the game. Wait. And then the headphone will work again. And it happens again. I tried to uninstall and reinstall a couple of times and same thing. No control panel and audio problems. Sometimes it doesn't even want to play an MP3 on Windows Media, I get the red x that the song is unplayable, but switching speakers solves this.

Double check the drivers installed for the headset and make sure Windows is using the Corsair driver instead of the generic audio one.

You can do this via Device Manger.
