750D HDD+SSD clearance

Hi guys,

 

I'm trying to figure out if the following configuration can be made using this case.

 

1: 2x120mm fans connected to the bottom of the case

 

2: 5x3.5' HDD inside the 2 removable cages

 

3: 2x2.5' SSD connected in the rear side of the panel (the case can 4xssd connected in the back)

 

I am just worried that:

 

1: Will have some cabling clearance issues when the sata cables from both the cage 3.5' bay and the Side-mounted SSD might come into contact since the 2 of them come out of the same space,cresting issues to route the sata cables.

 

2: Since i will be using 2x120mm fans to cool down, Will it be possible to put the 2x3.5' cages right stack to each other, where the first cage will be right below the 3rd 5.25' drive bay?

 

Since i will be using only 2 of the SSD mount-side bracket, i was thinking to allocate the 2 SSD's right on the bottom, having the first SSD free of any cabling clearance and the 2nd one right on top, however that's where my concern starts, dont know if the sata cables coming out of one the mechanical drives will not got through where one of the SSD's are located.

I do believe the front drive cages(2 sets of 3x3.5 cages) can be re-configured into a hanging position and you can remove the lower drive mounts allowing access to the fan mounting points at the bottom, the only problem I see with this is that those fan mounts do not have any kind of filter, only a stamped metal grill

 

also there should not be any cabling clearance issue with the sata power and sata data cables unless you are using extra beafy cables or some kind of piggy back sata/sas cables on the 3.5" drives.

Right now I'm getting around that by taping some dryer sheets to the bottom of the case to act as dust filters. Eventually going get some magnetic dust filters as a permanent solution.

I thought about buying one of the replacement filters from the accessories section just for that and just trimming/re-gluing the magnets where needed, should be doable with regular craft supplies
