HI, I am running Vista and my 4GB Drive is working fine.
The only problem is, when I want to remove the flash drive, their is not 'Safely Remove Opition' for this drive, and so I have to just take it out. Is this right, or should their really be an icon to safely remove this device? All my other flash drives come up with the icon, but not my new voyager (4GB). Thanks Does vista already deal with this for me? Regards Robert |

when you say your other flash drives do this, what OS are you trying them in?

Hi RAM GUY, I've got the same problem with my flash drive (Corsair 2GB Flash "Voyager" ) as well. Great product, no issues, works perfectly in XP etc, but in Vista there's no option for safely remove...
Is this a common issue with them? I also need to purchase another one and I would like to know if it will suffer from the same problem. Looking @ a 4GB Voyager. Cheers Cammo |

I just checked here and it does show up in VISTA, do you have another makers Flash Drive you can test with and see if it happens with that as well. If so I would suspect its some problem with VISTA and I would try and remove all USB devices from your system and then re-install the USB Mass storage drives.

I've seen this problem umpteen times with all of the brands of USB drives (flash drives or hard drives). It's usually not the drives fault or the operating systems fault; it's the motherboard's USB drivers fault. The best fix for the problem is to find out exactly what motherboard is in the system and go over to the motherboard's support site and find the latest motherboard chipset drivers for the that specific motherboard and specific operating system and download and install them (some motherboards also have independent USB drivers in addition to the chipset drivers that need to be installed). If the system is from an OEM manufacturer, say Dell, HP, Gateway, ect, usually you need to go over to the OEM's support site and see if they have an updated chipset and/or independent USB driver package available for download and install. Updating these drivers fixes the issue a little over half the time. If it doesn't fix it, you'll need to wait until someone gets around to fixing those drivers.
