SmyleCracker
I purchased a Corsair 680X Case. I have 6 Corsair LL120 RGB fans and a Corsair AIO Cooler with 2 ML120 RGB fans. I have 1 lighting node pro. Of course, I want to power and control all 8 fans with iCue and my MOBO doesn't have enough headers for fans or RGB by a long shot. Do I need a Commander? A controller? Another lighting node pro? Sorry for being an RGB newb, but I'm totally confused here and any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance!
DevBiker
The LNP will handle the RGB. However, for fan control you'd need some kind of fan controller, splitters or hub. That's where the Commander Pro comes in - it will handle the fan speed control for the 6 LL fans while the 2 fans on the cooler will be connected to the cooler's fan controller. Check out the RGB FAQ at http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=173880.

Johnny87au
1 commander pro + 1 RGB hub is all you need.. Plug 6 into the commander pro for speed control and 6 of the RGB connectors into the RGB hub. And the remaining 2 on the cooler connects into the cooler :)
Element14
Hi! Thanks so much for raising this question. Just to be clear, the $250 Crystal 680x comes with the LNP, but requires the purchase of a separate CoPro in order to run the 4 Included fans? Zotty
To power the fans (make them spin) and control them in iCUE yes you would require a Commander Pro. more info below http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=173880 the other option is to control them via your Motherboards Fan headers or a fan controller of your choosing
