Latest Corsair Icue update broke my software
Dreadnaught503 replied to Dreadnaught503's topic in CORSAIR iCUE
Update: tried installing v4.33.138 but got a message saying A newer version of Corsair ICue 4 software is already installed and a error saying Setup was unable to install this product due to some error. I literally can't figure out what's going on, I am so frustrated right now. I deleted all the corsair folders, I can't remove the software when trying to do so. This is a disaster. -
Dont upgrade to version 5, it literally bricked my software.

After installing the latest version of iIcue V5.5 and clicking restart the software closed but never opened again so i click the shortcut on my desktop and my pc said it couldn't find the shortcut then i went to the start menu then clicked corsair than Icue it still says it can't find the shortcut. My pc still shows the software on the pc in Drive C where the software is installed. I tried removing the software an error pops up saying Windows cannot find 'C:\Program Files\Corsair\Corsair iCUE5 Software\icue-uninstaller.exe'. I don't understand how a software update can cause this severe of a problem, and literally brake the software and render it useless. I'm honestly done with corsair's horrible software, I've had nothing but constant issues with this software with no solutions. I've complained multiple times about the problems and nothing was done. I really suggest Corsair looks over it's Icue software thoroughly to find these issues and fix them within a timely matter.

After months and months of constant software issues i have decided to make a thread talking about my experiences with Corsair's Icue software. I've noticed every time i installed a windows update or graphics driver update the Widgets i have on the dashboard are continuously deleting itself And no matter what i do to fix the problem the issue keeps coming back over and over. I'm getting really tired of having to manually activate the widgets i'd like to display every time i update windows or update a graphics driver. I'd like to hear other users experience regarding this issue. Another issue i've been having is incorrect core count displayed, I have an intel i7 9800x with 8 cores But the cpu widget is displaying 1-9 cores with 9 being seven instead of 7 being seven 1-8 cores. I've noticed this issue has been going on for over a year with no fix. I'd like to hear from other users regarding this same issue. My conclusion has come to know that corsair doesn't really care or appreciate it's software which is used by thousands of people and to which is used by multiple of its product Keyboards, mice, headset etc. Why has corsair failed so miserably at building a reliable software which is updated on a regular basis but those updates fail to resolve multiple issues that have been going on for far to long ? I think this is a very serious issue that corsair needs to look into and fix asap.

Why can't Corsair get their software right
Dreadnaught503 replied to Spillner's topic in iCUE Software Troubleshooting
From what i've seen Corsair refuses to fix software issues that have been going on for a long time then they release a new update which causes more problems that they refuse to fix. -
Disregard, problem solved.
