Looks like a bad solder joint or cracked PCB track to me. I don't think LEDs usually fail like that (intermittent).

I would have thought that every (RGB) keyboard that comes off the production line is tested before it gets packaged and sent out, especially the ones with blue MX switches, as there is a known issue....

These K70 RGB Lux keyboards will essentially be K70 Ver 2. OK, they may have other design changes, but the big change is that they will have an LED controller that the K70 (Ver 1) should have had.
