Yes I'll need to just get a normal mat over the top :(. Shame as the hard surface is lovely. The mat you suggested would be too big though and overhang

Now this one wont write above 50mbps. been looking all over for a solution but feel the best bet for me would be to return the heap...

Have done now, popped to my dads and tryed it in...

Have done now, popped to my dads and tryed it in his I7-920 rig and still wouldnt pick it it.

Also tried it in a old pc we have lying around... no joy.

I think this drive is dead on arrival....
