I'm in 2020, I too have Z97 based motherboard, but Asus GENE VII here, I'm seeking solution. I'm trying to workaround boost hangs with Corsair K95 Platinum without having to manually disable 1000Hz polling rate via F1+Lock combo.

I'm curious if you solved the problem. I too have Corsair K95 Platinum and I have some sort of issues on just about every PC that I tried this keyboard with.

Same here, I have major problem on Asus GENE VII Z97 motherboard, stupid long UEFI pauses on boot right after POST, I can at least access UEFI, but experience is unbearable. I would like to hear from @Corsair on possible firmware remedy, I will be contacting support before I return this piece of time waste junk. Unbelievable to pay $200 for something that doesn't perform basic tasks.

@Corsair, Is there any hope K95 would get firmware update to remedy UEFI boot pauses on Z97 chipset motherboards? It is 2020 and issues are still there. I posted on reddit about it too:

I have problem with Corsair K95 RGB keyboard on Intel P67 based motherboard and Asus Gene VII Z97. Both motherboards (no matter what USB port I try) hang on UEFI boot screen right after POST (from 1 to 2 minutes). I cannot enter UEFI on P67, while I can on Z97, Z97 is having wakeup issues. Total mess.
