Double, double checked the BIOS and board tonight. Yep, no vDimm adjustment on the P5L-VM 1394 board.

I just tried the new set in my P5B-E that the other set has run fine in at default voltage....

The P5L-VM 1394 does not have a vDimm adjustment parameter. At least not in the last official BIOS update, 0602. Per the manual, there are also no listed jumpers for vDimm...
