My friend just received his top-of-the-line AMD-based Alienware system, which also uses an FX-53 in an A8V Deluxe motherboard, with 2GB of Corsair PC-3200 SDRAM...

Ahhhh, there ya go!

A HA! So THAT would explain why CPU-Z is reporting the memory clock speed as 166 MHz. That makes a lot more sense now.

Would that also explain why I can't get the darn things to run at 2-2-2-5?...
