  1. I love Corsair mouse mats and PSU's... and I'll probably stop right there. I will never buy another Corsair AIO in my life ever again unless there is some way to get all this bloatware off. I use a SteelSeries headset... so why do I need Corsair Gaming Headset Drivers? So why then is there nothing in the software or the installer to remove features that you are just plain not using...? Why is it that it seems that you cannot merely save a default to the AIO and close iCUE and the thing just work how you set it? Why does this program install and find Corsair hardware, but still deem it necessary to install drivers for other Corsair products that are nonexistent? Why is it that the AIO gives NO instructions for installing the AIO if a user decides they do not want to use iCUE? Does the USB provide power to the pump or is it just for updating settings? Does the USB help provide power to the fans that you could otherwise plug into motherboard or fan controllers? I mean... looking at the 3-pin that you install on the motherboard it only has one lead... so I am assuming that is to just tell your motherboard "Yeah the CPU has something on it." By far the worst most overpriced thing in the world... still wishing the CoolerMaster $80 AIO was in stock when I decided my old AIO was probably ready for the grave. I just really don't understand why there's no set it and forget it option? You can't close iCUE and/or save a default profile to the pump and just never have iCUE open or you lose fan/pump curves AND it reverts to an ugly rainbow effect... it's just actually ridiculous to shove this completely useless program down your customer's throats.
  2. Okay... so, I am going to just go out on a limb and give my honest opinion that iCUE is actually the most awful thing I have ever used. My issues: Too many cords > No instructions for people not wanting to use iCUE. No way to set fan curves, it's literally, quiet, loud, louder, or fixed > Also no way to actually control the pump without iCUE it seems... Was idling at 40C then finally messed with the iCUE settings to get the pump on balanced which dropped 10C. Corsair Gaming Headset Drivers and Display Adapter? So how much of this extra is necessary? Could I just use the motherboard leds a fan splitter/controller of my own and just use my motherboard to control all this stuff that iCUE does literally miserably... the balanced and extreme fan settings are practically the same speeds. Like what is un-necessary... obviously the usb header for sure... the SATA? And I can't remember currently how it was, but was there not an RGB header for the pump that could potentially be connected to the board and the fans? I literally only use one color. And iCUE seems to be just the absolute worst configuration tool I have ever seen. I literally had the pump set to balanced in the BIOS, but was running 40-45C at idle... thinking maybe I just did a bad thermal paste application, but going into iCUE I noticed that it had it set to quiet, a change to balanced dropped about 10-12C instantly. TL;DR: How much is necessary to use only BIOS controllers for pumps and fans, completely getting rid of the need for iCUE? Especially because just looking at it I notice that the connector going to the CPU_FAN header only has one cord...?
  3. So the pump is installed to the CPU_FAN/PUMP_HDR on the motherboard? I just didn't see this mentioned so don't think I am attacking your intelligence. ;) You only mentioned the SATA/USB, but not the 3-pin fan/pump connector. I actually hate the amount of cords coming off this pump there is way too many cords to it, but I kind of got stuck with it since everything was sold out.
