Correct - the Corsair Link software hasn't been updated in almost 5 years (see the sticky) and doesn't support newer hardware. Any current products should be used with iCUE.

ATAGA, AXi Series PSUs have a 10-year warranty. I believe it came out in 2012, so even if you purchased it day one, you should still be within your warranty period.

CMSX32GX4M2A2400C16 meets the requirements so it should be fine. Doesn't look like that laptop is in our memory finder...

That's the default Windows 10 volume notification. It's not from iCUE. As far as I can tell the position can't be changed.
