You do not state what OS you have, but have you followed the required plug-in sequence (see below) or tried to plug just one USB cable (the one with the "keyboard" symbol) into a USB 3.0 socket?

You need to have your wanted profile running in the software.
Then you need to left click on the in-use profile and check the box "Set as Default Profile". Also "Save Profile to Device Memory"....

Difference between the two K70 keyboards

The Keyboards are exactly the same except for the Corsair Logo at the top of the keyboard.
The CH-9000085 has the new Corsair "yellow" swords logo.
The CH-9000011 has the all black Corsair Logo....

XMP profile

You should have Asus Al Suite 3.
Once I tweaked mine to XMP, etc., I used the 4-way optimization in Al Suite 3 and it adjusted my fans, memory and upped my CPU from 3.5-3.7 to 4.3 and very stable....
