Sorry for reviving an older thread - thought it might be noteworthy to add to the discussion. After updating a newly acquired C1i300 bios to 1CA, which was easy enough, I changed the cpu to a 13700kf (13900kf did not post & non-responsive into bios). Also removed the stock iLm and put on a Thermalright lga1700 bracket with KryonaughtExtreme paste (spread out evenly and light), changed to a 2tb 990Pro, and aded 4tb storage underneath it - Perfect pairing with 6400/CL30/1.35v ddr5. Temperatures are much better and performance is up about 25% over the 12900k with really slight tweaking (Cinebench R23 ~ 30387 at 85C). The bios for the MB seems to reflect the cooling capacity of the system, and fair enough, but future bios updates should should also accomodate features found on the retail version that give (new and original C1) owners options especially with straight forward upgrades. Still using the original 1080ti and liking this as much so still big thanks...
