Hi,

Yesterday i've installed a new H100I Corsair CPU Cooler.

Temps are good: Idle 24 a 30 °, under Load Max 45°

Pump RPM: 2250

I can also see everything in Corsair Link with the 8.1 regedit fix.

But only i hear a very anoying high pitch sound coming from the pump.

It can be a normal sound, but for me its the sound of coil whine, pump whine..

Currently i've these info from Corsair Link:

CORSAIR HYDRO H100I USB VERSION: 1.0.5

CORSAIR H100I VERSION: 1.0.5

CORSAIR LINK USB DONGLE: 0.9

Must i give a firmware update ?

And how do you that? Just by click on update and apply in Corsair Link??

And whats the difference between 1.0.5 and 1.0.7

Okay, I've found the reason why he makes those high-pitch noise / pitch noise.

My pump runs continuously between 2360-2364 RPM.

While this is actually supposed to be 2200 rpm.

I have the 3 pin connector changed CPU_OPT to CPU_FAN (but unfortunately this was not a difference)

Now I just have only the firmware update.

What can I do?

The pump speed is normal RPM. the 3-pin sensor connection only reports the RPM of pump since it's non adjustable.

Pump firmware should be updated during the Corsair LINK software installation. I believe Corsair remove the individual Firmware update do to the chance of pump bricking, Corsair Employee can confirm this for you.

The Registry edit works on all Microsoft Operating System from > Windows 7 and newer.

Try Corsair LINK version 2.7.5361 or 2.7.5339

As far as the noise, you will have to isolate where it's coming from.

No, regardless of firmware and CL software installed the pump will still run around the 2200 RPM. It can't be adjusted on H100i.

If the CL version didn't update the firmware during installation for components then i would recommend an earlier version 2.7.5361 or 2.7.5339. If you're changing CL software to a different version make sure all LINK software including the app folder is deleted and then restart the computer before installing a different version.

If the CL software didn't update the pump firmware to 1.0.7, i would suggest removing it including app data folder and try an earlier version 2.7.5361 or 2.7.5339. When it prompts during installation don't cancel it, allow it to update components as needed.

Make sure to check inside CL under system information what version is installed from the pump?
