JasonStarko
I have had 3 of these M90's and the mouse wheels all break, this is not a request for a RMA as I fixed it myself but could you seriously consider making the axle metal seeing as the mouse wheel itself is 98% metal anyway except the part that is most important. Here's how I fixed it. http://imgur.com/a/13348 Love the design, love the buttons, not very durable tho.
enioentity
Great post. Can you explain how you disassembled the mouse?
Toasted
Just a warning, if you do disassemble your mouse your warranty is void. If your mouse is damaged due to unauthorized repairs/disassembly Corsair will reject your RMA request.
JasonStarko
Great post. Can you explain how you disassembled the mouse? Yes, I do not recommend doing this if you want to keep your warranty. However, after 3 M90's all with broken scroll wheels, I made the decision to do it myself. Disassembly upto the point of the mouse wheel requires only a Phillips screw driver roughly 2.5 mm, and possibly a razor blade or sharp knife to remove plastic plate covering the first screws. Basic Tear Down I did here. http://imgur.com/a/nBjUe

ricksavoie
First, thank you for the detailed tear-down, it allowed me to disassemble my mouse without breaking any parts. Since I cannot obtain a receipt (faded) and therefor cannot receive warranty work I disassembled my mouse and repaired it. I believe the hexagon end of the plastic scroll wheel shaft was slipping. I carefully wrapped a small piece of scotch tape around the shaft and reinserted it into the optical scroll sensor. It appears to be working for now. Good Luck all!
