Vonanx
Hello, I recently built a new PC using mostly corsair parts. One of these parts is the RGB H150i Pro, and so far it has done an excellent job at keeping my CPU cool. However, I have noticed that the pump creates a highish pitched "hum" when my PC is under heavy load. Note that the cooler makes 0 noise when I am doing low intensive tasks like browsing the internet, and playing low demanding games. I was wondering if it was normal for the H150i to make such an audible sound when playing demanding games? Thanks for the help!
DevBiker
Can you correlate this hum to fan speed? Are you sure it's the cooler's fans and not another fan, perhaps on the GPU?
c-attack
The pump speeds are static, so this would suggest a fan. What pump speed/setting are you using? All pumps make some electro-mechanical noise, most often described as a hum. However, it should not be changing in pitch. Are you using the zero fan speed setting for desktop work (and thus the lack of hum)?
