Lrqk
Hi, I fixed up my new rig a few weeks back and it has worked fine till now. Just a while ago i booted up my PC and got a "CPU fan error" msg, My H100i's LED was blinking yellow and both my fans(connected to the h100i by the Y cable) were not spinning properly. I shut down my pc, made sure all the wires were in the right place and rebooted by pc but nothing changed. After the third reboot, the H100i's LED flashed blue once before going dark and the fans connected to it stopped spinning(the LED was still on though). I suspected the pump to be dead but it seems to be vibrating slightly. Ive swapped the h100i for the stock cooler and my pc boots just fine. I tested both fans on other fan slots on my motherboard but both seem to have stopped working although the LED still lights up. Could someone help me identify the problem with my h100i? Thanks
Yellowbeard
How do you have power connected to the pump?
Lrqk
How do you have power connected to the pump? It's connected directly to the PSU.
Yellowbeard
Sounds like we should replace it. Use the support ticket link above your first post and we'll get you fixed up.
sasbritanico
I had same problem than you. You must connect at least 1 fan to CPU_FAN connector of motherboard. If you do not have it, system will not start never. It is not a specific problem of h100, can happen to you with any heat sink.
snapper69
The pump block has to be connected to the cpu-fan header, the fans can either be connected to the pump or the motherboard fan headers.
