  1. It may be G.Skill fluff, but Corsair should make the effort of keeping that web page up to date, because if they had done it, I would not have ended up buying from the competition. :( Even the RAM search page has no knowledge of any X570 motherboards. But this is now totally off-topic...
  2. I fully understand this logic, but at the same time the choice of RAM for Ryzen 3000 platforms is sadly very limited. For example, there are no RGB-capable 64 GB kits optimized for AMD, at least according to the Corsair web site (https://www.corsair.com/ww/en//RyzenCompatibility). I love Corsair products and I'm very reluctant to go for anything else, but in case of RAM G.Skill offers far more options for AMD. If all the functionality I can get from this integration is to control the RGB lightning of the motherboard from iCue, it won't manage to change my decision to choose a Gigabyte board for my imminent upgrade... Just my humble feedback.
  3. I managed to install an Asus Crosshair VIII Impact (mini-DTX) in my 250D, but it is impossible to install a video card once the motheboard is in place. The solution was to insert the video card in the PCIe slot before putting the motherboard inside the case, but at that point it was impossible to fix one of the four screws because it was completely obstructed by the video card. So, my motherboard is fixed by just three screws (not a big problem), and if one day I decide to change video card, I'll have to remove the motherboard.
  4. I am looking at my 250D and I measured a 4 cm distance between the edge of my mini-ITX motherboard and the edge of the PSU shroud. I don't see anything at all that would prevent the installation of a mini-DTX board, which is just 3 cm taller: it should comfortably fit with 1 cm of margin. I almost convinced myself that I can safely buy a Crosshair VIII Impact for my upgrade...
  5. According to https://www.overclock.net/forum/50-small-form-factor-systems/1515838-mini-dtx-hype-thread-itx-two-pcie-slots.html "Any Mini-ITX case that has two PCIe slot covers (for dual-slot GPUs) already supports Mini-DTX! The required space for the dual-slot PCIe bracket and video card guarantees space for the motherboard that will extend out under the GPU" and the 250D does have two PCIe slot covers...
  6. I was wondering the same thing: I'd assume that it's compatible because there is a lot of empty space beyond the side with the PCIe slot, and the mounting holes are the same. However I asked the question to Corsair Support and they said that it's not compatible. I'm not convinced of the answer...
