  1. 8 years later I'm still using my Carbide 400r and still happy with it. Most cases on the market today leave a lot to be desired for my uses that include mandatory 5.25 front drive bays and zero rainbow type lighting. The original build as a i5 2500k Z77 build and I finally updated it to a R7 3700X system. I don't game at all so no giant GPU needed is the reason for the 1660 Super. A few photo's of how my 400r looks today.
  2. Installed W8 CP on a spare Intel 320 40 GB SSD and got some improvements in the Windows experience score. 9.2 for Memory now.
  3. Nice clean install. I had no idea the president was into custom computers :D:
  4. A few updates since I originally posted this. I replaced all of the 120mm Scythe fans with 140mm Cougar units. I have also added a new 120GB SSD and a USB 3.0 media card reader. I know this is useless but still cool to get a couple 7.9's
  5. Just curious what other folks are stuffing in their own 400R cases. I love this case and all the fan mounting options, I like it better than my 600T even. I just finished my new Intel i5-2500K build this afternoon, I still consider my AMD system my main so I have not updated my system specs. Items for this build Corsair Carbide 400R GIGABYTE GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 LGA 1155 Intel Z68 Intel i5-2500K Scythe Mugen 3 HSF Intel 320 series SSD ( Scratch disk for Photoshop CS5) ******** Caviar BLK 500 GB ( will be adding many more HD's when prices are not insane) ******** Enhanced Blackline 8GB DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 ******** Joule 700W power supply (80 plus Bronze) Gigabyte GTX560 Sony Optiarc 24X DVD Burner Scythe Kaze Server 4CH fan controller Scythe Slip Stream 120mm fans X5 ( plus 3 stock Corsair 120mm fans) ******** USB3 media card reader Asus VH242H 24" monitor Windows 7 Pro I still have some cable management to do but it is up and running stable. These K series CPU's are insanely easy to overclock and I'm currently running at 4.2 Ghz.
