  1. Hi - just checking this thread now after awhile. This is all very stupid, imo, that Corsair can't get some basic functionality going with a $130 LIGHT POST, and then once they fix it, proceed to break it even more! Anyway - thank you, c-attack. On top of it all I did experience the 4.17 bug you mentioned, so I really appreciate the help in rolling iCUE back. I'm to where I started, but I'm over the tower order number now.
  2. I just set up the LT100 starter kit. iCUE sees them as Tower 2 and Tower 3, not Tower 1 and Tower 2 for some reason. I've already switched the towers to opposite bases and that had no effect. It's not a huge deal, but I suspect it's impacting how some game integrations send lighting effects to the towers. Any ideas?
  3. I'm not. It's funny because I did run into problems with the Aura plugin and it was interfering with my RAM RGB. Once I removed it, I've had no problems, so I have not installed any Asus utilities since.
  4. Replaced my M65 RGB Elite with a Dark Core RGB Pro. The RGB on the mouse is completely functional, having tested it with static colors, custom lighting effects, etc, all on 2.4GHz (not wired or Bluetooth). So the issue is not the mouse. However, two problems: 1. All of my RGB profiles (both imported and custom made) have some type of preset for the mouse. I started with a Harpoon RGB and then an M65 RGB Elite, and both mice were able to read from the profiles and pull in RGB lighting effects for the mouse. But for some reason, now, absolutely zero have any presets for the mouse if that mouse is a Dark Core RGB Pro. I plugged in both the Harpoon and the M65 and they still work just fine. For some reason, none of the profiles are loading the lighting effects for the mouse. The lighting effects menu is completely empty. Almost as if iCUE doesn't recognize the Dark Core as a mouse, but instead some other peripheral that doesn't have a lighting effect assigned. 2. I use Wallpaper Engine nearly 100% of my non-gaming time. If a wallpaper has an LED function that pushes out to iCUE, the Dark Core actually does light up with the right colors. However, out of the eight total lighting zones, only two light up! For some reason, Wallpaper Engine, through the iCUE SDK, does not push lighting effects to all RGB zones. Specifically, only the logo zone and the scroll zone (the logo and the mouse wheel) light up. There are six accent zones that do not light up at all. Look I know that it's silly to get this riled up about RGB but damn it, I'm invested in Corsair and I want my stuff to work. What is it about this mouse?! Are these issues related? Am I missing a troubleshooting step?
  5. Thanks. You were right. One fan is not functioning. When I make the non-functioning fan #4, the other three work just fine. If it's earlier in the chain, it messes up the whole chain. Appreciate the help.
  6. Thanks for the very simple diagnostic suggestion. Didn't even occur to me, I've been staring at this for so long... The new "Fan 1" (previously Fan 4) works fine now. Fans 2, 3, & New 4 (previously Fan 1) are still acting strangely. So at the very least, I think it's an RGB hub issue. That said, what's different now is that Fan 2 will engage and disengage. If I enter Lighting Setup, the yellow light turns on and off. What's also different now is that, unlike before, all three of the non-working fan LED's will re-engage and pick up whatever profile I have it set to. They still engage and disengage - meaning any animation will sometimes freeze - but it eventually catches back up. I can get a good sense of the timing of how they engage and re-engage when I use Instant Lighting. Fans 2, 3, and 4 may not switch to that color immediately. So essentially, the signal that is going to those fans is being interrupted for some reason, but eventually, it reconnects. If the behavior were exactly the same as before, but for the switched fans, I would think it's an RGB Hub issue. I'm worried there is also something else going on because they eventually "catch up." But I think the first thing to do is replace the relatively inexpensive RGB Hub. Thoughts on this? Edit: Nevermind, now all three stopped responding as they did before (2, 3, and New 4). It just took a bit longer than it did before. I'm guessing RGB Hub.
  7. Hi all - I reconfigured my setup from this: https://imgur.com/v09Beoj To this: https://imgur.com/YH5nmDq Essentially, I replaced two LL120's with two HD120's on one of my radiators (I kept an LL120 for another purpose). I adjusted the configuration on both RGB hubs to make sure 1) the fans are connected in order and 2) only the same type of fan is connected to a single hub (i.e., all LL's on one hub, all HD's on another hub). As you can see in the second diagram, three of the HD fans (only one of which is new) aren't lighting up correctly. On system start, they'll pick up whatever default iCue profile is assigned, and for a few minutes, they'll change and adjust whenever I change the color scheme. But after that, they will be stuck on whatever the last scheme is and they will not animate at all. They essentially freeze in position, on, but unchanging. I checked on the connections and changed the Lighting Node Pro USB from one Commander Pro header to the other. But no dice. The PWM fan control from the Commander pro works just fine, it's only the lighting. And it's not like the two-RGB-Hub setup is new. I was using it just fine before. The only change is the fan configuration. Any thoughts?
  8. Fan-freaking-tastic. Your points are well-noted. I've got 1x280, 1x240, and 1x120 and at "idle" temps the fans turn on for a few seconds, then turn off, then repeat. So I was wondering what coolant temp was trigger. To your points, it's not exact to my setup, but it is pretty close. I'm comfortable playing with the curves now. Thanks a lot.
  9. Does anyone know what the default pump and fan speed curves are when setting the Commander Pro to "Hyrdo X Series Fans" and "Hydro X Series Pumps?" Or if there is a way to find out? I'd like to customize both, but curious to know where they're starting from.
  10. Thanks for the feedback, both. I'll keep monitoring my current setup and then perhaps flip the fans around next weekend and see how performance changes.
  11. Just as a follow-up, I went with Config 1 Flow 1 in the second link.
  12. Based on how the pump is configured, this seems really risky. What you might want to do it plug all of the holes and then fill it up with water, then lay it on its back. You'll see the issue immediately, in that the water level will probably be too low relative to the intake and output ports and you'll send up circulating a ton of air into your system. I'm not sure the unit itself will even pump as well in that orientation, and/or if it's built to withstand any potential leaks in that orientation.
  13. Hello. Long time listener, first time caller. I'm trying to figure out ideal fan and radiator placement on my first build. I'm building in the Corsair 280X case. I have plenty of room underneath the case for unrestricted airflow out of the bottom. Assuming I can route all of the tubing, my question focuses on airflow and is a two-parter: Part 1 My current, very simple setup runs a bit hotter than I'd like, so I'm considering adding more fans (not rads) to the bottom. What is the best configuration considering my top radiator? https://imgur.com/a/m8HJ6vP Part 2: I do think I need to add another radiator to the mix, or do a push-pull configuration. It runs warmer than I would like with only the one. Any thoughts on the configurations+airflow below? I've also included a comedy option where I install another radiator+fan in the rear compartment (I've tested it, it does fit!), have it exhaust into the main compartment: https://imgur.com/a/qy0P6lC Appreciate any advice.
