  1. I put my PC to sleep whenever I am not using it, and unless an update demands it, is rarely fully shutdown or rebooted. This has worked flawlessly for years. However an additional thing prompting me to reboot recently has been iCUE 'slowness' The first time my PC sleeps/wakes up after a reboot iCUE is very fast to re-activate all my lighting profiles. As the sleep/wake cycles continue it gradually slows down. Taking longer to reactivate lightning. This aspect isn't really a problem, im not bothered if it takes a few seconds longer for lightning profiles to re-apply. What is a problem, and gets very annoying is on the going to sleep side. Inside my PC I have Vengeance RT RGB RAM and a Lightning Node Core, both are set to have RGB off in hardware mode. On the first few sleeps almost as soon as I hit the power button the lightning inside the PC turns off. As the sleep cycles increase, it takes longer and longer for the lights to switch off. Till eventually the PC actually goes to sleep before the lights switch off. This is not a problem for the Lightning Node Core, as all RGB turns off anyway once the power cuts out. However this is hugely annoying for the RAM. Rather than turn off the RGB, it stays on whatever was last active. As the PC is asleep the RAM is still powered. This is far too bright to leave on over night. I then need to turn the PC back on, and normally when waking from sleep all the lighting should be OFF (as the hardware profiles are all set to OFF) yet they will resume straight away to what they where last set to. Then Windows fully wakes up, and is sat at the lock screen you can 'see' iCUE catching up with itself, as suddenly all the lights turn off. ITs as if the Lightning node and RAM finally realise that iCUE isn't their? When I then log back in, iCUE will again reapply the profile. Normally when things are working correctly the RGB inside the PC should stay off until I log back in. Once this annoying behaviour has set in, nothing but a reboot will restore proper function. I do not know whether the issue lies within the 'hardware lightning detection' on both the lightning node and the RAM, or within iCUE itself. However the issue was present in iCUE 4, and is still present in iCUE 5. While this issue is definitely on the milder side of things, it makes me think that iCUE must have some kind of issue whereby overtime it just 'slows down', I cant think how else to explain it. I know its a niche problem, but I wonder if others who set their RGB RAM to be off in the hardware profile experience this issue with sleep after time?
  2. This is definately not fixed. I have had multiple freezes across 2 different computers. The keyboard does tend to restart itself now, so at least dont need to unplug it everytime, but its still unacceptable for such an expensive bit of kit. Setting the colour profile to fully white kinda defeats the whole point of this RGB keyboard. If I wanted static lighting, Id go back to my 7-year old original K70.... which never crashes on me. And cost half as much as this K100 did.
  3. I think I have seen this happen once too. Keyboard RGB just flashed off, then back to normal. So far... havent needed to unplug/re-plug it. But then I usually only had it once a week or less, so will see.
  4. Maybe my call has been answered? I just got my K100 updated to firmware version v1.13.53 , not sure where to see patch notes for that... but it poped up today when I opened iCUE.
  5. This issue is really spoiling a great product. I just had the freeze where it keeps spaming random inputs... ended up sending a bunch of strange messages in WhatsApp / Discord as I was trying to click different applications not realising the keyboard was stuck. Its becoming embarrsing... spent over £200 for a product, and we are nearly into the 4th month of this issue. I am begining to wonder... is the issue something firmware cant fix? While the posts to the community are appreciated.... some detail on why this is taking so long would be welcome. Is it a lack of being able to reproduce the problem? Are you wanting more logs submited? Please Corsair. Dont let down a great product with poor support.
  6. Whats the latest update on this from Corsair? While I get tehese freezes less frequently than others... its happened twice in the last 2 days. Both times needed to unplug the keyboard to get it working again. Not sure if its related, but been having a few iCUE crashes too... (not at the time of the keyboard freezes) Having just got all my RGB controlled by iCUE, and previously having great response from Corsair support... this isnt very reassuring. IT seems that whatever the issue is, they havent nailed it down yet. Or they have... but cant fix it via a Firmware update. For an over £200+ keyboard, this is totally unacceptable time to resolve.
  7. I am sure I have seen it mentioned on the forums before that the CPU load value iCUE shows on the Dashboard (and then displays on the Nexus) is incorrect. It does not tally with Taskmanager or other CPU load monitoring. Highest I ever see iCUE go is 30-40%, even when others show much higher. I recently noticed that iCUE now shows the GPU load for my 3090FE, a feature I have long wanted. However that turned to disapointment straight away, as the value is completely wrong. It never goes about 5-6%, even when the GPU is pegged at 99% during a game session. Id love to see iCUE not only show more activity meters (basically all the ones from task manager would be great!) but before we get to that... the ones it does have need to be accurate.
  8. I have had 2 types of lockups. Not sure if both are related, or if others are having these too? This first is a total freeze of the keyboard. Nothing works. The lighting effects get stuck, no key inputs work, num-lock doesnt work etc. Which I think is what the majority of users in this thread are getting? I have had this type of lock-up twice in the last week. The only fix is to un-plug the keyboard and plug it back in. Both times I had this happen was mid-typing. Not had it while gaming yet. The second type of lockup I have had twice this week also is like a 'half' lockup. So the RGB effects will freeze and stop working, and any profile change in iCUE wont change the affect on the keyboard. However it continues to work as a keyboard. So typing etc is unaffected. I have the keyboard connected to a USB switch, which goes to my work laptop and gaming PC. I can recover full function by simply switching the keyboard to the other computer and then back. The switching between computers 'fix' does NOT work for the full lock up. The only way to recover from that is to unplug the keyboard for a second and plug it back in. I love this keyboard, and am hopeful we get a firmware fix asap. The longer this goes on... the more ill be loosing faith in Corsair, who up till now have been one of the best brands to deal with, and whoes products have generally worked very well.
  9. I have had my K100 do this twice in the last week. I am on the latest firmware version: 1.11.39 Product number: CN-912A01A-UK Using Windows 11 22H2, iCUE 4.32.129 Keyboard attached via USB switcher hub. Had my K70 Vengenace for over 8 years never had a single issue. 'Upgraded' to this K100 just before Xmas.... and its already having problems??
  10. I know you push integrations with iCue out to the manufactures of those devices, but id love to see you partner with MSI so that their motherboards / GPUs can be controlled within iCue too. Its a terrible state of afairs where your almost picking motherboards based on if they work with the rest of the RGB you have. Never use to matter if you had an MSI board, Gigabyte GPU. Now the RGB software alone makes that an annoying choice. Bet nice if iCue could level that field.
  11. Thanks for details. It looks like I can get a lightning node pro + 4x strips for £37 on Amazon right now. I could then try sell the RGB strips... or just use them somewhere The strip Id mostly use as 1 colour. Maybe breathing or fading to another colour, but I wouldnt plan to use it with LEDs changing to different colours along it. So hopefully be faily easy to get working.
  12. I currently use an MSI X570 Tomahawk motherboard, which sadly I cant get to work within iCUE. Tried using things like OpenRGB as a middle step, but it didnt work. I have a Lian-Li Lancool II case, and use the following RGB strip with it: https://lian-li.com/product/lancool-ii-2x/ I also have a custom RGB logo, that uses the same 3-pin plug as the above. Both of these are plugged into my motherboard and controlled using the awful Mystic light. I have got tired of lobbying MSI to get them to integrate to iCue like ASUS motherboards do. So what Id like to do is just use adapters to connect my 2x products to something that can talk to iCUE. I see cables like this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/143797976482?hash=item217b06fda2:g:p~0AAOSwwnBgpum4&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAA4OGhUavf287dyz6FfjtTt%2F0uZjn4C%2BFTy7d0Y5%2FPd%2FHATjQH6undLqWTxMhvfrC3TFA%2BoLIStDJMy2ou9NJuOx4QghA5WPyNqzjtNUh7Ose6Hzi6vpSQ%2B3z2N0wxZ%2BPKbELxRmHf8tlE55wWIA0sx9gxsEnpPVMeOj1wVZeMTl%2FiQshC5aS1CojunDDw0SqSO3VLyTrmvGbWnnc0c5K9psgtSrvJEZU7tk%2B4VsNlmAH82ssgXf%2FxNdAIOcpCTuleI0OTrh6naJXCYsdduvc7MW8Js%2BVk9A1pcuA5NpOSMJwi|tkp%3ABFBMrM7nhvpg But they seem to only work with Lightning Node Pro or Commander Pro. Neither of whcih I have. I am runing a Lightning Node Core (currently controlling QL fans) I cant seem to find a similar cable that should work with Lightning node core? I have no need for a Commander Pro, as my fans are controlled fine by the motherboard headers. And at £59 its a bit much just for the RGB plug. I cant seem to fing the Lightning Node Pro for sale standalone... just with 4x RGB strips (that I dont need either :/) So a couple of questions I had for you folks: 1.) Has anybody used the ebay like cable I linked with the correct controller and have it work well? 2.) Is there a cable like that which works with Lightning node core? Thanks!
  13. I recently updated to latest iCUE. After an amount of time, unclear how long or a number of sleep/wake cycles of the computer, iCUE can no longer control the RGB on my RTX3090 FE GPU. Closing iCUE out, and re-opening it fixes the issue for a time. Have only had this issue since the latest version. Initially upgraded using the in-built upgrader tool. After the issue started happening, fully removed iCUE and installed clean using latest download from the website. Tempted to just go back to the previous version. More often than not.... upgrading iCUE does more harm than good.
  14. The coil whine might be related to the PSU. The fps drops wont. If the PSU cant provide enough power for your GPU, it wont lead to lower fps or drops. It will lead to black-screen restarts or shutdowns. The GPU pulls power, if that load exceeds the PSU it shutdown the system or restarts it. It cant "tell the GPU to slow down" and pull less power (thus FPS drops) If you want to fix the coil whine, changing the PSU might help. I had 4x different PSUs, and my GPU whined on all of them. So Im 0 for 4 on that one, and fairly sure its just the card. For the FPS drops, look to other issues on the system. Drivers etc.
  15. A bit of software causing black-screen restarts seems very unusual to me. Typically even a GPU driver crash wont cause such a hard crash that nothing is logged. My experience of black screen crashes has been power supply related. However given you seem to have isolated this to iCue and on a laptop of all things, Id recommend opening a case with Corsair support. Perhaps they can help you with some debugging to actually get logs of this happening. If you can reliably re-create this, all the better. Good luck.
