  1. It works fine in the Gigabyte board. No errors or issues. Putting the G.SKILL in the Asus Z170 pro gaming gives me the same issues. So in short it's the board.
  2. CMK16GX4M2B3200C16 Asus Z170 Pro Gaming BIOS 1204 BIOS settings starting from default XMP : Enabled (Profile 1) Results: over 15 restarts was able to boot two times, 13 times overclock failed XMP: Disabled Manual Settings: -DRAM 3200 -DRAM voltage: 1.35 -Timings: 16-18-18-36 Results: 15 boots, 15 failures XMP: Disabled Manual Settings: -DRAM 3200 -DRAM voltage 1.36 -Timings: 16-18-18-36 Results: 15 boots, 15 failures XMP: Disabled Manual Settings: -DRAM 3100 -DRAM voltage 1.35 -Timings: 16-18-18-36 Cold Boot Results: 15 boots, 15 successful boots. Restart from Windows Results: 15 restarts, 12 successful, 3 overclock failed. Note: on fail was able to enter BIOS and just hit F10 and each time got a successful boot. ------------- Taking out 2 sticks and running on 8GB XMP : Enabled (Profile 1) Results: over 15 restarts was able to boot 10 times, 5 times overclock failed I did not try any manual settings with only 2 sticks. ----------- Current settings: Manual: BCLK FREQ: 100 Sync all Cores to 46 DRAM: 3100 EPU: Disabled SVID: Disabled CPU Power: Adaptive Mode +1.34 Offset voltage: Auto DRAM voltage: 1.35 Timings: 16-18-18-36 Results: 15 of 15 on cold boots, 14 of 15 on windows restarts. This has gone on long enough. I just built another system and ordered a Gigabyte gaming board and G.SKILL and XMP is working great. Guess I learned my lesson.
  3. 1105 still won't boot with xmp. I can manage to get 3200 if I put the voltage at 1.36 but the system will hang on reboots pretty constantly. I can get 3100 @ 1.35 set manually.
  4. Bios 1102 on the pro gaming with this kit. When setting to XMP it can boot but windows just blue screens out. Booting has been unreliable at best. If I set the settings manually it becomes completely unstable and won't boot over half the time. I've tried moving the voltage but the results are the same for me. Downgraded to 0803 and can boot reliably if I set everything manually with a slight voltage increase as I indicated on my previous response on this thread.
  5. I was able to use manual settings to get it to clock at 3200 but I had to push the voltage to 1.36 and only after I reverted to BIOS 0803 It now boots reliably. Only took about 3 hours of testing various settings on various bios versions.
  6. Same Asus Z170 Pro Gaming with the CMK16GX4M4B3200C16 Booting using xmp is not working. Using BIOS 1102.
